Lutheran Homes of Michigan is a Recognized Service Organization of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. Our history of Christian service to seniors dates back to 1893, with the founding of The Altenheim in Monroe, now the Lutheran Home Monroe.

As a non-profit, 501(c)(3) faith-based agency, we provide residential living and home care services to hundreds of seniors of all faiths and backgrounds. We are one of the largest non-profit providers of residential senior services in the state, with numerous campuses and ministry partners. Our corporate headquarters are in Frankenmuth.

We have more than 800 residential and living units, more than 900 employees and we serve about 1,000 people a year through hospice and home care services. And we do it all with a firm, faithful focus on our Christian mission and values.

The LHM Foundation

The LHM Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, is building a strong financial base to assist seniors and caregivers of all faiths far into the future. It accepts donations on behalf of Lutheran Homes of Michigan to provide resources and support for important programs and services.

That includes those already in existence, and those being developed for the future.
