The CareTec Network Help Center’s mission is to be your one-stop information and referral service for seniors, their caregivers and their families.
We know it can be tough to find answers to questions about senior care. And we know it can be tough to find businesses and services that you, or the senior you care for, can trust.
Sometimes, you may not even be sure what you need or what you should do. Lutheran Homes of Michigan has been in the senior care business for more than 100 years, and we know the issues you face. We listen to understand the issues, needs, and problems you are facing, and then offer solutions.
One great way we do this is to connect you to our group of trusted and tested CareTec Network Affiliates. These are businesses, volunteer organizations, and individuals that we have carefully screened to provide a wide range of services.
It is important to note that in order to remain as objective as possible, the CareTec Network Help Center does not accept any incentives or commissions from organizations we connect you with.

How we select and test affiliates
To make sure you are connected to quality businesses, services and organizations you can trust, our CareTec Network Affiliates must meet and agree to the following conditions:
- Believe in the Lutheran Homes of Michigan mission and values
- Accept the CareTec Help Center’s customer service commitment.
- Provide free estimates.
- Guarantee your work and/or product.
- Have at least one of the following while visiting the senior’s home:
a. Visible company photo identification b. Uniform c. Marked Vehicle
- Pass a Better Business Bureau reference check.
- Guarantee a maximum of 24-hour response time once your information is forwarded to an affiliate.
- Contracts that have a minimum 14 point font for easy reading.
- Written estimates including total cost with clause that final cost will not exceed 10 percent of cost estimate without additional written approval.
- Aware and willing to have the CareTec Help Center conduct follow-up calls to monitor response and for quality control.
To make sure our CareTec Network Affiliates are of the highest quality, we automatically call back every person that calls us for help and conduct a brief quality survey so we are sure to catch and correct less than excellent service.
We also use this call to make sure the issue was resolved, and to see if there are any other issues or needs.
